These are exactly the flows that break for screen-reader users, and exactly the ones a complaint will name.

Recipients of federal financial assistance must ensure their programs and activities are accessible to people with disabilities — which regulators and courts have applied to websites and digital services, not just physical premises.

What tends to fail here

Appointment booking
Date pickers and multi-step forms are the most common total blockers — if a patient cannot book, the service is inaccessible in practice, not just technically.
Intake and insurance forms
Unlabelled inputs make a form unusable with a screen reader. This is the single most frequent structural failure we detect.
Provider directories
Images of staff without alternative text, and “read more” links with no discernible purpose, make directories impossible to navigate non-visually.
Patient portal login
Errors announced only by colour leave users unable to tell why a login failed.
